I had the privilege of illustrating Nian: The Chinese New Year Dragon, written by Virginia Loh-Hagan and published by Sleeping Bear Press. For this project, I worked to bring the cultural significance of the Chinese New Year to life, focusing on the story of the mythical Nian dragon and its role in the holiday traditions. The book was honored with the prestigious Gold Medal EUREKA Excellence in Non-Fiction Award and the Feather Quill Reviewer's Award for its vibrant, culturally respectful artwork that educates and captivates young readers.
